Since I loved this simple post for capturing what is my now these days, I figured I should do it again. To help keep me on my toes, I figured I’d do a theme edition every now and then, and this week I decided to focus on food.

I have known so many great women in my life, privileged to be connected with them by blood.
While my Dad was irreplaceable and my only hero, I found bits and pieces of my mom among aunts and special women.
I feel time – its passage and its value – more strongly lately.
I guess it comes with age.
If I am blessed to live to a strong 70 years, this year would spot on be my half-age. The usual mid-life crisis.
As an effort to document turning 34, I looked for 34 things that figured in greatly in my life the past year.

I am choosing to slow down and go against the holiday rush. My goal? Savor this season.
