SSD’s Treat of the Month: Rubia Padhila

Wednesday, March 10th, 2010

I love SSD’s TOTM – if you look at her gallery, you will notice her eclectic and eye catching style right away. I love how she fills them all in with bright colors, contrasts, details, amazing alphas and it still looks so well put together.

I used one of Darcy’s Inspired by Rubia templates – easily my favorite!

SSD’s Take Out Tuesday (Feb 9th)

Wednesday, February 17th, 2010

I haven’t been able to share the pages I’ve made recently, I’ve been busy scrapping and working (and looking for new cholesterol medications for my mom) so I need to remedy that. I was able to make a sketch for SSD’s Take Out Tuesday and I love how it turned out:

I actually made a direct lift out of the sketch and I love how it turned out – it looked like a paper scrap to me:

Remember you can always flip, rotate, and add your own variety to the sketch. It was just give you a basis on where to start your design.

Trying to get back into the groove again.

I have been scrapping again. Not as much and not as fast as I want to but at least I’ve covered the Halloween photos :) . And a few Christmas layouts from LAST year. Times leading up to the holidays can be incredibly busy and I tend to lost focus and miss deadlines a lot. It has got me thinking to reassess my commitments and make sure I don’t over commit myself – it really would not be fair for everyone. I have been slowly but surely trying to make our house a home too. It has been a LOOOOOOONG work in progress, but I am a little proud and beam a lot inside when I think about all the things I have managed to accomplish with living alone as a family. There are still a lot of things to be done which involves a lot of money but as I’ve said, slowly but surely! (like getting HAVC filters for example).

Here are some Halloween layouts:

In keeping up with my resolution to scrap about the little man more (he only has 25 pages this year as opposed to his sister’s 85!!), I am on my third page about him for the week! Yay me! He told me he wants a PSP for his birthday and I scouted around for prices and almost died in shock – it’s the same price as ipods! But I am determined to get him one. I hope money will be easy to us in the coming months.

Finally…Boy Layouts!

Thursday, October 8th, 2009

Finally boy layouts! I have a resolution to scrap or finish an album about the boy before scrapping anymore girl layouts. I am halfway through the school album for the boy I hope I can get it done in time for my expiration on the free Artscow books issued to me.

SSD October TOTM of the Month: Rebecca Bonneville aka BeccaBoo

Thursday, October 1st, 2009

Hey everyone – it’s a new month and we have a new Treat of the Month for you here at SSD – the beautiful and creative – Rebecca Bonneville aka BeccaBoo! You are going to definitely love browsing through Becca’s incredibly inspiring gallery filled with unique page titles and creative element clusters that will just wow your socks off!!

Be sure to check out our Treat of the Month Highlight with Becca to learn a little more about her and the pages she creates. After you finish, don’t forget to take a peek at our Treat of the Month Gallery to see all the wonderful layouts created by the SugarBabes that were inspired by her amazing work.

It was hard for me to work on my pages this month (too many problems plus the need for pressure washers to help flush and clear all the mud left from the flooding last weekend. Thankfully Becca’s gallery was truly inspiring – I cannot start a page from scratch these days.

Right after we invest on health insurance and fix the house and have something in safety for next year, I am going to be starting on reviewing for the NCLEX.I wish I can take up additional courses at the Allied health institute but funds are low right now and it isnt really a priority. I have two courses tucked in my belt with no work experience to boast of.

These are my two favorite pages for this month! It took me the whole day to finish these, because I was staning up, working and taking care of the kids all at the same time. I have to confess being with the kids 24/7 is burning me out lately, especially since the husband is not here. No amount of Vegas vacations can pay back the stress! :) I’m just psyching myself up that if ever I go back to work, I will surely miss this so I’m soaking it up as much as I can.

For Glo.

Monday, August 24th, 2009

I have never done this before but I am glad I finally conquered my procastination and laziness. We made a 5×7 Shutterfly album as a birthday gift for Glo.

I used Robin and Manda’s WUB kit for the album (one my all-time favorites from SSD)
