07-11 This is my Happy Place

I have been on a slump..

..lately.

Thank goodness for templates and the awesome finds you see in the gallery :)

Too much work going on for me and the pressure to study for something really important.

So I leave you with the three layouts I made this week and Im off to see acne solutions for a pimple on my chin. Ive been pretty hormonal all week and I can feel that the time of the month is about to come.

Next week, I promise, next week Ill be better at organizing my time.

I have a hard time dealing with patterned papers on a layout so a template did wonders for me LOL. Been meaning to scrap these pictures ever since I took them last month. Good times.

Many have noticed how Martha looks so robust and healthy these days. I only have two answers for it: Clean, fresh air and the tender loving care straight from her Mommy. She will be finishing medications for her Primary Complex on the 10th and we go back for a check up and X ray on the 12th. It will be costly as we dont have medicare supplement anymore but all the health of our kid!

Mush Alert

This was done for my third wedding anniversary last week - I would have given away a free template again - but I simply havent had enough free time - so I scraplifted :D Love this kit of Robin and Manda (Gitchy).

I have a lot of ideas running on my head right now :D But I need to keep them to myself for now and just surprise you :D

I have been scrapping (at least a page a day) and it feels good :D

More thoughts to come, I just want to share these :)

It feels good to be scrapping on a laptop loaded with computer memory. I currently have 2GB and would wish often it was 3GB or 4GB! I know - one can never be truly satisfied - I think my laptop has expandable memory so maybe, just maybe I can actually upgrade this baby when the time comes. For now, I want to upgrade its space by getting a 5GB external hard disk. That is on my to-get list before 2008 ends.

Thank You.

For all those who downloaded the template, left a comment and (moreso) used it :) I think this will be a regular feature in my blog soon. I just need to get a new layout done! LOL. I wasnt able to scrap ALL week because we have been out (delayed summer travels) and while I have over 2GB worth of pictures DYING to be scrapped with kits to go, of course, I just am so dead tired. Im having scrap withdrawals too, I have to admit :D Lately as well, I feel that 2GB of memory is not just doing it for us anymore. I want to upgrade and upgrade but I need to be satisfied and work with what I have right now (and I have more than enough).

So the masterplan today is list all the kits I want to work with, pair them up with the stories that have accumulated and scrap.

I leave you with two layouts I did last last week :)

06-05 Summer Experience

Thank heavens we are one season ahead in the US so when the summer kits come out - I already have a ton of pictures from the summer here :) (Summer usually happens from March-May here and then in the US, June-August. School time starts June in the Philippines and September in the US. By then, I already have school pictures to scrap with).

I am so happy that my creative teams have spared me the need to go out and shop for summer kits (as if I have money to spare, no?) because the ones they have been putting out lately are just stunning!

Pictured above is Julie Billingsley’s Sand in My Shorts (at SSD) and the elements cannot look cuter than they are - they are GORGEOUS!!!!!!! I kinda wish I was thinner so I can look good at swimming suits so I can take pictures of me and the kids (looks like Id need to undergo Orovo detox for it).

Anyhow, I still have a lot of summer pictures to scrap. If I get to have many layouts done, I just might get a Summer Album done - what a cute project!!!

Cookie Decorating 101 #36 6/4 with Stephanie Czosnek!

This week I was drawn to Sugarbabe’s Steph’s Birthday Girl Layout! I have always Steph’s vibrant color choices and her journaling rocks my socks off (you better see her AAM layouts!). Her layout here has perfect composition, a gorgeous color combination and I just love the way she used a quote balloon to journal on!

Download here.

For the new gals, a little recap- In this challenge we’ll be providing you with some monster inspiration from a talented layout artist in the community and turning one of their pages into a fabulous template (sugar cookie) for you to enjoy! Then it’s up to you to decorate your cookie with your best baking skills and return to Cookie Decorating Challenge Gallery (and this thread) to post your finished products!

Here is my decorated cookie

Now about my weight loss, Im still stuck at a 10lb loss. I need to get moving so I can burn more fats and sweat! The weather here has been extremely cozy and cold - perfect bed weather! Plus I have been scrapping in my very precious free time so exercise has been pushed to the back burner. I MUST find a way to prioritize.

LO Share: Raggedy Annie!

I just have to blog about this! Kay Miller has taken a break at designing but has come up with a Triple Dip with Robin and Manda to produce this very cute kit - Raggedy Annie! Im not even done playing with it yet!

Here is a layout I made - I made this in less than 45 minutes because I had an image of what I want it to look already. The longest part was extracting Martha but everything just flowed - I love it when that happens :) I got inspired by one of my fellow Sugarbabes’ gallery for this - Sarah (my3hens). I have been doing a couple of graphic layouts for Kay before but have never thought of doing this till now.

05-10 It's a Girl Thing

I am off here (Im blogging at 4AM) because Edil is here and we need to catch up on each other. Most of my friends are on vacations (like going to the beach and checking out North Padre Island rentals) so we are stuck here at home :D

Love love love this kit from Dani! (I actually make it a point to get each kit she puts out).
I struggled with the design on this one because I wanted to use everything. I finally decided to be inspired by paper layouts I see and go from there. I liked the end result better.

And off to another topic, I finished 27 layouts this month! YAY!!! This was way off my goal when I knew we were going to be moving. I need to set aside money for printing these babies off. Hmm. I havent been able to print the layouts I did for March and April. I was busy watching Coffee Prince last March and bought Gong Yoo’s photobook this April! (Thank goodness for closed captioning - I was able to appreciate CP!). May is scrap month :D

LO Share: SSD Treat of the Month - Karen Wong!

04-23 Little Miss

Wow–It’s May already can you believe it? Looking around spring is in full force and the flowers are blooming everywhere. The Sweet Shoppe has been blossoming with new designers and babes and we have just come off an amazing NSD. With a new month comes a new TOTM feature. This month is special as we are showing off a former babe and well known scrapper around the community. Karen Wong, known around digiland as Hom74, played a huge part here at the Sweet Shoppe and I know I miss her terribly already. As a tribute to all she did around here we felt it was fitting to honor her with the Treat of the Month spotlight!! Karen is a beautiful scrapper, showing off those adorable little girls and capturing everyday moments with her fantastic photography.

Check out Karen’s Treat of the Month Feature to learn more about how she approaches her amazing pages and her focus when she scraps. Make sure you take the time to browse thru her gallery and read her stories on her layouts.

After reading and browsing, be sure to check out the Treat of the Month Gallery and join the Sugarbabes in paying tribute to Karen by lifting one of her layouts. When you’re done, come back and share a link to it with us in this thread so you can earn Sweet Rewards points for your participation! We look forward to seeing your layouts!

(I need to start scrapping for May!!! Instead I need to focus and clean the house and decide which floor mops need to be bought!)

This uses Lauren Grier and Manda Bean’s Two Scoops Kit - Bob and Willis. It is an old kit but I had to have it because the papers were calling me. I am trying to be conscious of snagging both boy and girl kits from SSD so I can scrap Matthew more.

This was taken at UST way back June 2007 when they had their well-baby check-ups with their pedia (well, obviously they are not babie anymore). The outdoor furniture at the new garden they have set up were so nice we ended up taking pictures with it.
