SSD Challenge: Color Confectionary 7.18
Hi! Aggie here to give you a taste of a new color challenge. My mind was in the clouds the whole week thinking I had the perfect color combination to give you only to find out it has been used already! (Silly me didnt even check..) Good thing my fellow Sugarbabes came to the rescue with their awesome layouts so I can give you an example (as Im such a slow scrapper), I thought we can go back to the basics of the color wheel today - let us scrap the PRIMARIES! Red, Blue and Yellow
Im so sure you will not have a hard time finding these in the shoppe.
In order to earn the extra sweet reward point this is how you need to play along:Use this color combination to complete one of the existing challenges in the Sweet Shoppe Challenge forum. Post your layout in the corresponding challenge gallery and after you’ve linked up your layout in the forum come back here and link us up in the comments section of this post.
This must be a new layout created from this time forward not an existing one that’s already been uploaded to the gallery. You have one week to complete your layout and it must be linked back through this blog post no later than 11:59PM Thursday July 14th.
Here are a few amazing layouts from Sugarbabes Kellie and Meghan to give you inspiration:

And you can always mosey over to the shoppe if you need to get a kit to work with
We will be enjoying the rest of the day doing grocery, hearing mass (hopefully I dont see anymore people with body jewelry on their chin again!) and just bonding with the husband!
Pop Rocks 23: TV Guilty Pleasure
I tend to watch alot of TV and like most of us who do, we have those shows that we can’t seem to turn off. Regardless of how cheesy, lame or crazy they might be, we are glued to the TV. You might even watch it in secret so that nobody knows how much you love it. It might be a reality show, one of your kid’s shows or a Lifetime movie of the week. I want you to scrap that guilty pleasure TV show.
And if you know me that well, you are sure to know which one would I be choosing - nothing less than K drama :). It could have been Gong Yoo but the deserves an entirely different layout altogether.
I think jobs in Atlanta are in dire need of Korean translators
So happy to scrap about me these days.
Cookie Decorating 101 with Kellie Fite Turner!
It’s another new month for us here at SSD which means we are going to work our way to Sweet Rewards Points. I hope you’ll find this cookie so useful as I have.
I got a little selfish with our cookie this week as I have been planning to scraplift this gorgeous layout of Kellie’s for the longest time - Best of 2007. It was perfect for recapping every event in ONE page - dont you agree? So I decided to make it a cookie as well.

For the new gals, a little recap- In this challenge we’ll be providing you with some monster inspiration from a talented layout artist in the community and turning one of their pages into a fabulous template (sugar cookie) for you to enjoy! Then it’s up to you to decorate your cookie with your best baking skills and return to Cookie Decorating Challenge Gallery (and this thread) to post your finished products!
So many possibilities with this cookie, tilt it, reverse it, enjoy! Cant wait to see what you come up with
And as usual here are my layouts:
SSD July Treat of the Month: Ranie O’ Dell
Did you see this on SSD’s homepage?:
I am so in love with gallery! She is actually one of my favorite scrappers - scraplifting her is like scraplifting a master scrapper. So much details and unique design ideas!
Read more about her on the TOTM Feature and thread.

What Your Fridge Says About You |
![]() You don’t need a lot of stuff to be happy. There isn’t a greedy bone in your body. You tend to be a fairly thrifty person. You splurge occasionally, but you’re mostly a saver. You don’t tend to be a very adventurous person, but you do surprise everyone now and then. You have a bit of a wild side. You are responsible, together, and mature. You act like an adult, even when you don’t feel like it. You are likely to be married - and very busy. |

Spin-A-Lift Sunday featuring Kay Miller!
Happy Sunday! I hope everyone has been having a very pleasant weekend. I have been scoping through my favorites for a gallery to feature this weekend and one person always stands out - I think I have all her layouts in my favorites already! Today we are going to be lifting Kay Miller’s awesome and inspirational gallery!
It was more difficult for me to choose one of her layouts to lift (as I want to lift them all!) but I finally chose this layout from her using the kit Her Royal Highness entitled Girls Just Wanta Have Fun! I so love the simple design and her use of white space!

Here is what I came up with!

I used Micheline Martin’s Atomic Amber for my layout - I so love the colors and paper textures on this kit! For full credits, click here.
Now it’s your turn - choose any layout from Kay Miller’s beautiful gallery- give it a spin, lift it, and post your layout in our Spin-A-Lift gallery. Remember to leave a comment here with a link to your LO so that you can get your Sweet Rewards point and don’t forget that using a new release will earn you an extra point!!
Have fun scrapping! Im now off to check some travel guides around the Philippines - my cousin and her all-American husband (:P) will be visiting and they want to see beaches here so bad. Im off to enjoy the rest of Father’s Day!

Cookie Decorating 101 #36 6/4 with Stephanie Czosnek!
This week I was drawn to Sugarbabe’s Steph’s Birthday Girl Layout! I have always Steph’s vibrant color choices and her journaling rocks my socks off (you better see her AAM layouts!). Her layout here has perfect composition, a gorgeous color combination and I just love the way she used a quote balloon to journal on!

Download here.

SSD Cookie Decorating 101: Featuring Me!
LOL. Yes! Cindy, my co-host for the Cookie Challenge, featured my layout for the challenge last week. I hope you can play along
You can download the cookie here.

And I recycle my own layout and came up with something different!! I love it.
I have been getting really organized with my process in creating layouts lately and I love the output - more stories, more memories documented for the kids. It may not work for some, but it really works for me. Ill share more on my next post. I got to check some home gyms available for sale. The husband is keen on getting me one
SSD Cookie Decorating with Kay Miller!
I decided to feature one of the newest Babes we have here - Kay Miller! I always have loved Kay’s designs and work and her layouts are always a perfect design inspiration. I chose to base our cookie this week from her Spring Beauty layout!

SSD Blog: Taste Test Thursday
Hi Everyone! Sugarbabe Aggie here with a new Taste Test Thursday! This week I chose to highlight the Paper to Digi Challenge. I have always found “lifting” so easy most especially when Im stressed or lack time to be “creative”, like now
And what do you know, I managed to lift two layouts in 2 hours!! Yay me!
Dont forget to lift Revlie’s gallery here and post your layout in this blog post to get an extra point before Thursday next week.
Here are my layouts:
Lift of Revlie’s Layout: Fast

SSD Slogan Challenge: Finger Licking Good
This is the first time Im hosting the Slogan Challenge and I chose to highlight the slogan challenge from KFC:
Finger-licking good!
Have fun creating your pages using the slogan! As a mother of two kids who have very strong preferences when it comes to food (read: they can eat the same type of food week after week after week), I have so many pictures with them and their favorite foods)
I can even make a list of all the foods I love. With all the foods I crave, I need to get leptovox pills to help me lose weight! Im a little bit skeptical about taking them but reviews say they are the most effective.
LO Share: She is my Mother
I love paper layouts, there is so much depth paper and elements can bring that digi sometimes cannot accomplish. I also like how paper layouts are composed. That is why I always try to participate in the Paper to Digi Challenge at SSD.
This is my mother - I think she was a mommy already when this picture was taken. What elegance my mom has I hope Im able to have when I get to her age. Timeless beauty talaga.

This is a lift (even the concept was a lift!) of Kelly Goree’s Share This
Cookie Decorating 101 #32 with Jacq Delfin!
I stepped out the Babe Gallery to look for stunning layouts in the gallery to feature and I kept adding layout over layout of Jacq’s work! So this week, I chose to base our cookie on one of her layouts - Delight! Jacq is a master of white space and layering and clustering of elements so Im pretty sure you will have lots of fun this week!

Here is my take:
I love Jacq’s color choices in her layout so I gravitated towards something really bright on mine - I loved how it turned out

Here are the credits.
Now off I go to have the weight equipment of my dear husband packed. We are moving next week.

Your Spelling is Good |

And with that Im off to the mall to look for bed liner sheets for our bed!
Sugar Free Challenge #39 Unlucky 03/19/08
I’m sure we all felt unlucky one way or another. We have felt that the world is out to get us sometime or that anything that can go wrong can only happen on that day.
I want you to scrap it! It maybe as mundane as what I have done scrapping a day I felt unlucky or a string of events or your feelings towards a situation.
Here is mine:

Once you’ve completed your layout, post it in the medicare insurance next week - wish us luck! We need it! LOL
SSD Cookie Decorating 101 with Lynnette Penacho!
It’s time for another cookie this week and I chose to base our cookie from Sugarbabe Lynnette’s Valentine layout. I love Lynnette’s sense of design and her color choices and her super cool photo! I hope you fun this week!

You can download the template here.
Here is some inspiration to get you started:
LO Share: Kristin CB’s Doofles Kit.
Something new for me. I have tried to extract pictures before, because I always feel it is so time-consuming, but when my kids have the nicest smile and there is a fan or an unimportant person behind them, I have to get creative. Plus, extraction really gets so easy with practice. And with all my distracting backgrounds, I get the design layout theme easier.
Ill not be doing these types more though. It’s graphic and nice yes but I still want to try paper!

I love love love Kristin’s kit though! Im going to get another done with this though. Im happy to be able to crank more than two different layouts per kit!
