SSD Challenge: Color Confectionary 7.18
Hi! Aggie here to give you a taste of a new color challenge. My mind was in the clouds the whole week thinking I had the perfect color combination to give you only to find out it has been used already! (Silly me didnt even check..) Good thing my fellow Sugarbabes came to the rescue with their awesome layouts so I can give you an example (as Im such a slow scrapper), I thought we can go back to the basics of the color wheel today - let us scrap the PRIMARIES! Red, Blue and Yellow
Im so sure you will not have a hard time finding these in the shoppe.
In order to earn the extra sweet reward point this is how you need to play along:Use this color combination to complete one of the existing challenges in the Sweet Shoppe Challenge forum. Post your layout in the corresponding challenge gallery and after you’ve linked up your layout in the forum come back here and link us up in the comments section of this post.
This must be a new layout created from this time forward not an existing one that’s already been uploaded to the gallery. You have one week to complete your layout and it must be linked back through this blog post no later than 11:59PM Thursday July 14th.
Here are a few amazing layouts from Sugarbabes Kellie and Meghan to give you inspiration:

And you can always mosey over to the shoppe if you need to get a kit to work with
We will be enjoying the rest of the day doing grocery, hearing mass (hopefully I dont see anymore people with body jewelry on their chin again!) and just bonding with the husband!

Miss Mint’s Lift A Chick Challenge

In the spirit of my previous post where the Mint Chicks decided to scraplift some of your fabulous pages, they’ve now turned on eachother (evil laugh) and have decided it would be fun to scraplift one another - and they want you to play along! This is just a fun challenge to get us all to ‘try on’ some different styles, experiment a little and most importantly, make some fantastic pages. So what do ya say? You in? Great!
This week is Aggie (aggietha) week. All you have to do is pick your favorite page and scraplift it! Check out the links to Aggie’s delicious pages below. No shortage of inspiration in there, that’s for sure!
Peppermint Creative Gallery
DigiShopTalk GalleryDon’t forget to link us up to the original!
Get to it…those pages aren’t going to make themselves people.
It all started with the idea of lifting a layout from the gallery. I suggested we lift each other (so I can get my mojo going), but alas, I was the first
I hope you join!
Here is the lift I did:
Original Layout by: cindylee

Scraplifted by: aggietha (Aggie)
I hope you play along! Now Im going to try and find some acne scars cream for my cousin, have a great day!
I have been on a slump..
..lately.
Thank goodness for templates and the awesome finds you see in the gallery
Too much work going on for me and the pressure to study for something really important.
So I leave you with the three layouts I made this week and Im off to see acne solutions for a pimple on my chin. Ive been pretty hormonal all week and I can feel that the time of the month is about to come.
Next week, I promise, next week Ill be better at organizing my time.

I have a hard time dealing with patterned papers on a layout so a template did wonders for me LOL. Been meaning to scrap these pictures ever since I took them last month. Good times.
Many have noticed how Martha looks so robust and healthy these days. I only have two answers for it: Clean, fresh air and the tender loving care straight from her Mommy. She will be finishing medications for her Primary Complex on the 10th and we go back for a check up and X ray on the 12th. It will be costly as we dont have medicare supplement anymore but all the health of our kid!
Mush Alert
This was done for my third wedding anniversary last week - I would have given away a free template again - but I simply havent had enough free time - so I scraplifted
Love this kit of Robin and Manda (Gitchy).
I have a lot of ideas running on my head right now
But I need to keep them to myself for now and just surprise you
Pop Rocks 23: TV Guilty Pleasure
I tend to watch alot of TV and like most of us who do, we have those shows that we can’t seem to turn off. Regardless of how cheesy, lame or crazy they might be, we are glued to the TV. You might even watch it in secret so that nobody knows how much you love it. It might be a reality show, one of your kid’s shows or a Lifetime movie of the week. I want you to scrap that guilty pleasure TV show.
And if you know me that well, you are sure to know which one would I be choosing - nothing less than K drama :). It could have been Gong Yoo but the deserves an entirely different layout altogether.
I think jobs in Atlanta are in dire need of Korean translators
So happy to scrap about me these days.
Cookie Decorating 101 with Kellie Fite Turner!
It’s another new month for us here at SSD which means we are going to work our way to Sweet Rewards Points. I hope you’ll find this cookie so useful as I have.
I got a little selfish with our cookie this week as I have been planning to scraplift this gorgeous layout of Kellie’s for the longest time - Best of 2007. It was perfect for recapping every event in ONE page - dont you agree? So I decided to make it a cookie as well.

For the new gals, a little recap- In this challenge we’ll be providing you with some monster inspiration from a talented layout artist in the community and turning one of their pages into a fabulous template (sugar cookie) for you to enjoy! Then it’s up to you to decorate your cookie with your best baking skills and return to Cookie Decorating Challenge Gallery (and this thread) to post your finished products!
So many possibilities with this cookie, tilt it, reverse it, enjoy! Cant wait to see what you come up with
And as usual here are my layouts:
SSD July Treat of the Month: Ranie O’ Dell
Did you see this on SSD’s homepage?:
I am so in love with gallery! She is actually one of my favorite scrappers - scraplifting her is like scraplifting a master scrapper. So much details and unique design ideas!
Read more about her on the TOTM Feature and thread.
For the Love of Kasia
I am seriously in love with a new designer. I cannot believe I didnt work with her designs before when I was buying her kits when she was still at {WST}.
Kasia Designs.
And I dont really fall in love with a designer easily, you know. There are designers who I crush (their work I mean) but working with their stuff is just hard for me. But with Kasia, I managed to get three layouts done in three hours. And I just sat down and told myself, “OK, just do something creative for once.”
I love how all of these turned out

I have been scrapping (at least a page a day) and it feels good
More thoughts to come, I just want to share these
It feels good to be scrapping on a laptop loaded with computer memory. I currently have 2GB and would wish often it was 3GB or 4GB! I know - one can never be truly satisfied - I think my laptop has expandable memory so maybe, just maybe I can actually upgrade this baby when the time comes. For now, I want to upgrade its space by getting a 5GB external hard disk. That is on my to-get list before 2008 ends.
LO Share: One Word Challenge - GENUINE
The new one word challenge is:
GENUINEADJECTIVE:
1. Actually possessing the alleged or apparent attribute or character:
genuine leather.
2. Not spurious or counterfeit; authentic.
3. 1. Honestly felt or experienced: genuine devotion.
2. Actual; real: a genuine dilemma.
4. Free from hypocrisy or dishonesty; sincere.
5. Being of pure or original stock: a genuine Hawaiian.
And here’s mine!

What Your Fridge Says About You |
![]() You don’t need a lot of stuff to be happy. There isn’t a greedy bone in your body. You tend to be a fairly thrifty person. You splurge occasionally, but you’re mostly a saver. You don’t tend to be a very adventurous person, but you do surprise everyone now and then. You have a bit of a wild side. You are responsible, together, and mature. You act like an adult, even when you don’t feel like it. You are likely to be married - and very busy. |

Spin-A-Lift Sunday featuring Kay Miller!
Happy Sunday! I hope everyone has been having a very pleasant weekend. I have been scoping through my favorites for a gallery to feature this weekend and one person always stands out - I think I have all her layouts in my favorites already! Today we are going to be lifting Kay Miller’s awesome and inspirational gallery!
It was more difficult for me to choose one of her layouts to lift (as I want to lift them all!) but I finally chose this layout from her using the kit Her Royal Highness entitled Girls Just Wanta Have Fun! I so love the simple design and her use of white space!

Here is what I came up with!

I used Micheline Martin’s Atomic Amber for my layout - I so love the colors and paper textures on this kit! For full credits, click here.
Now it’s your turn - choose any layout from Kay Miller’s beautiful gallery- give it a spin, lift it, and post your layout in our Spin-A-Lift gallery. Remember to leave a comment here with a link to your LO so that you can get your Sweet Rewards point and don’t forget that using a new release will earn you an extra point!!
Have fun scrapping! Im now off to check some travel guides around the Philippines - my cousin and her all-American husband (:P) will be visiting and they want to see beaches here so bad. Im off to enjoy the rest of Father’s Day!
Aggie c”,)
Thank You.
For all those who downloaded the template, left a comment and (moreso) used it
I think this will be a regular feature in my blog soon. I just need to get a new layout done! LOL. I wasnt able to scrap ALL week because we have been out (delayed summer travels) and while I have over 2GB worth of pictures DYING to be scrapped with kits to go, of course, I just am so dead tired. Im having scrap withdrawals too, I have to admit
Lately as well, I feel that 2GB of memory is not just doing it for us anymore. I want to upgrade and upgrade but I need to be satisfied and work with what I have right now (and I have more than enough).
So the masterplan today is list all the kits I want to work with, pair them up with the stories that have accumulated and scrap.
I leave you with two layouts I did last last week
LO Share: Sand in My Shorts
Thank heavens we are one season ahead in the US so when the summer kits come out - I already have a ton of pictures from the summer here
(Summer usually happens from March-May here and then in the US, June-August. School time starts June in the Philippines and September in the US. By then, I already have school pictures to scrap with).
I am so happy that my creative teams have spared me the need to go out and shop for summer kits (as if I have money to spare, no?) because the ones they have been putting out lately are just stunning!
Pictured above is Julie Billingsley’s Sand in My Shorts (at SSD) and the elements cannot look cuter than they are - they are GORGEOUS!!!!!!! I kinda wish I was thinner so I can look good at swimming suits so I can take pictures of me and the kids (looks like Id need to undergo Orovo detox for it).
Anyhow, I still have a lot of summer pictures to scrap. If I get to have many layouts done, I just might get a Summer Album done - what a cute project!!!
Cookie Decorating 101 #36 6/4 with Stephanie Czosnek!
This week I was drawn to Sugarbabe’s Steph’s Birthday Girl Layout! I have always Steph’s vibrant color choices and her journaling rocks my socks off (you better see her AAM layouts!). Her layout here has perfect composition, a gorgeous color combination and I just love the way she used a quote balloon to journal on!

Download here.
