Concept of Time
January 10, 2013 | Category: Other Stuff

The years are long, the days short.
I can’t seem to get that out of my head.
And this one too:
“The problem is, you think you have time” (Buddha)
We recently suffered a death in the family. Totally unexpected. Devastating. Tragic. He could have lived more, you know. But then there is that concept of time.
If this day was your last, what would you have done?
With my mom being diagnosed by cancer and being treated by anti-cancer pills and going to quarterly trips to an oncologist at a dual diagnosis treatment center, it has made me aware why I want MY version of OUR memories frozen. I still want to live though, and not be caught up just “documenting” our lives. While I have stopped actively scrapbooking (in what scrapbookers perceive as such), I believe I am still very much in the process of memory-keeping.
The years are long, the days short.
This is why I am a memory keeper.
