Cash Advances Realizations
September 2, 2010 | Category: Uncategorized
I’ve not really been an avid fan of cash advances until recently. First of all, I think it messes up the budget. Second, I think it is the usual suspect for compounding debt problems. However, just like everything else in the world, things have a funny way of changing your perspective.
Recently, I’ve often found myself in several situations I’ve never planned for and I couldn’t help but wonder why it was really difficult to stick to plans, regardless of how much time and effort you put in the planning. The truth is, life is full of things and events that are extremely difficult, if not impossible, to predict. No matter how much of a genius or a pessimist you are, you can never predict all the possible events in your life. The same goes for your expenses and your budget.
Because of these unpredictable circumstances and expenses, there are times when I find myself broke several days before the next salary, or in my case, cash deposit. Fortunately, thanks to my husband’s cash advance, we’ve found ourselves with food on the table and with a few cash on hand.
Now I realize that getting an advance is not necessarily a sign of weakness or inadequacy in planning. It is a fact of life just as these unpredictable things are a part of everyday living. Some people choose to take advantage of them while some people don’t. Now I understand.
It’s not really the act of borrowing that messes up your budget or your plans. It is what you decide to do after getting the money that makes the difference. If you choose to be responsible with the money, then you won’t have any problems with the budget, regardless of the amount you get. However, if you let your impulses get the better of you, you’ll find yourself not only with a messed up plan, but with lots of very unsure days ahead of you.
