Skiing in Alpine Countries

One of the many high-risk, daredevil sport I consider is skiing. I heard many a tale about people who are left paralyzed or worse, dead, in skiing accidents. While I have never skiied in my whole life (in fact, I have never experienced snow even), I am wary of rushing down slopes on two planks. But I can understand the rush it gives to some. Scratch, that, I can understand the rush and thrill it gives to many people, as evidenced by how much ski italy resorts can be booked during vacation seasons.
Alpine countries like Italy, Switzerland and Austria has always been known for having the best ski resorts in the world. But Italy ski resorts are noticeably cheaper and still boast of modern and fast lifts, advanced snow making and the scenery is splendid particularly so in the Dolomites. Aside from the skiing they would be getting, many families go to these resorts because of the mountain restaurants and revel in the scenery it gives. Usually these restaurants are small and family-run, and are importantly, smoke-free. Chatels can be booked all the time so it would best if you reserve early. One thing great about Italy ski resorts is that most Italians have late lunches and rarely ski on weekdays, so Cortina, Courmayeur and Madonna where the slopes can feel empty during the week, unlike in the Dolomites where Germans ski all week.No Comments
