Goal: Print those Layouts!

January 13, 2008 | Category: Digital Scrapbooking

I was saving up my pennies once ScrapbookPictures.com goes on sale, since Fuji prints (8×10) are quite out of the budget for me still. However, me and Glo talked with Buge over YM the other day because we are inquiring about albums (self mounting and magnetic) which Glo intends to take to the US.

The topic of printing came and Buge referred Fans Digital in Quiapo. You can get their pricelist here. The complete pricelist made me gasp! An 8×10 is only 40pesos (roughly about 99cents to a dollar), and if you print by batch you get free chemical lamination on all prints – it looks like you get to upgrade to their 50peso print for free! (And you get nicer finishes too!). Even their picture books are a steal. Ill definitely print my Christmas Book there. Shutterfly has the advantage of having custom covers though. However, Buge also referred me to DigiPrint Pro where you get 20% off printing if you become a member – you need to show a class you went to (photography), or a photography magazine subscription you are subscribed to. The requirements automatically wont let me in! LOL. They use the same printer Fans Digital uses so it is cheaper.

Speaking of printing layouts, I need to make sure our adapter to the PC wont have any power surges. Electricity has been quite erratic lately. We only have one HDMI input on my TV and want to hook both the computer and the DVD to it that we are advised to get HDMI splitters. I hope there is one in Quiapo. If the weather changes, Id like to ask Edil if we can go to Hidalgo and check the printers out.
