Donate my Boat
Now that Christmas is over, you might want to make plans in adopting a charity, giving to a good cause or helping out an organization that helps other people. I plan to do that as well. I have been looking for an organization that helps children. I particularly have such a strong association with children’s education. I would want all children to grow up educated and equipped with skills and knowledge to survive in this world. That is what the Donate Boat project is all about.
The Donate my Boat project accepts boat donations and sells them on ebay at www.charityboatsales.org/ for the purpose of creating and distributing absolutely free of charge (even free shipping) Children’s Animation DVDS. You get to preview their work here and you can order from there as well. In fact, they have finished a documentary against drug addition and use with skateboard legends Jay Adams from Dogtown’s Z Boys, Christian Hosoi, Dennis Martinez (world champion), Bruce Logan (world skateboarding champion) starring in the lead roles.
You can help in two ways - if you have a boat you can donate or if you want buy a boat. You can buy them at half the original price!
Think of it as way of helping for a great cause.
My Love for the Medical Field.
Do you want to know a little trivia? I have finished two degrees, both under the medical profession - Medical Technology and Nursing. Not only that, Im a board passer as well. Im a medical technologist and a nurse by profession. Too bad I still have yet to practice what I have learned.
I have always dreamed of being a doctor ever since I was a kid. I was supposed to go to medical school after my degree in Medical Technology but I started a family early. Now with all plans of migrating to the US, all of us are thinking of getting into the medical profession. With my dreams of being a medical doctor, going through the medical assistant schools, I think being a medical assistant will be the closest I will be to becoming a doctor. There are very nice

Internet Issues.
Well, more of connection issues. The laptop used by my sisters do not have a LAN card so we cannot share the wi-fi connection that we have with them. Most of the time, they need to go to a computer rental just to check mails since with us alone - Edil, me and Matthew - the computer is being used ALL the time (I kid you not!) We will see. I still have my LAN card way back.

VOIP
Im in the outsourcing industry so if you are an entrepreneur and you’re already thinking about turning your business over to an IP Telephony system then you are definitely thinking the right way. Last Minute Shopping.
Old Navy had some very neat DollarBuster deals only for Saturday (Glo told me over YM yesterday) and we were shopping online together. She was such an enabler! She only checked out a few items, while I shopped for the whole family! LOL. This was the money I’m been keeping for “emergency use” just in case there would be last minute sales on the web, and Im so happy I kept saving it! I still have some money left, but Im keeping them for future use next year.

Suggestions…
for a place to stay in Vegas? Preferably a Las Vegas hotel. My sister is flying after Christmas to the US for around six months to work for my cousin and find a job that is aligned with the course she finished. She might go to my father’s side of the family for New Year’s and since they go to Vegas, she now needs to come earlier to book a stay.

Exploring New York
I was lucky enough to be able to go to the United States when I was 16. But sadly, I was only able to explore the West Coast - California (most cities and San Francisco), Las Vegas and San Diego. It was spring when I went there. If it was fall or winter, I would’ve demanded that I go to East Coast as well. I would want to experience snow and autumn. Plus I really really want to see and experience life in New York! It is a place I really would like to visit, see Ground Zero, watch a Broadway play, eat a hotdog, visit museums, see the Statue of Liberty. Go to Central Park. Ride the red bus! The list is endless. Finding a place to stay that is accessible to everything is easy to, especially you can do your research online. Hotel Guide for hotels in New York are very easy to find. There are cheap New York City Hotels some of you might be interested in. Hotel Pennsylvania is one of the largest hotels in Manhattan and is just across from Madison Square Garden. You might want to explore that option if you want access to central shows. Of course, if you decide to spend New Year’s Eve in New York, make sure you are booked near Times Square, Central Manhattan. A big event is always done there.

Addicted to TV.
Edil and I bond over TV series. We watch TV series by the season, I tell you! We literally stayed up all night to finish a season of Prison Break once. Then it was Grey’s Anatomy and then Heroes. We just ate popcorn and soda! With all the popcorn we ate, we should have just invested on a popcorn machine! We have limited our TV viewing during weekends as we still co-sleep with the two kids so we have no choice but to really put the lights out at 10PM!
